Ishaan Real Estate plc is a property investment company, incorporated in the Isle of Man, which, along with its group companies (the ‘Ishaan Group’ or the ‘Group’), invests in Indian real estate development projects located in southern and western India with a focus on Indian IT parks and SEZ projects, and also selectively in other real estate assets in India including commercial, hospitality, retail and residential development projects eligible for foreign direct investment.
Ishaan also has a very strong board comprising a Non-executive Chairman and six Non-executive Directors with extensive experience in the property and retail sectors and the Indian real estate market. The Company’s directors are Ian Henderson, Stephen Vernon, Executive Chairman of Green Property Trust and holds directorships of a number of property related companies; Vittorio Radice, Chief Executive Officer of the Italian department store group La Rinascente and former CEO of Selfridges and former Executive Director of Marks & Spencer; Rajendra Chitale, Managing Partner of M P Chitale & Co and Chitale & Associates; Tim Walker, Non-executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Squarestone Brasil plc, Infrastructure India plc, Clean Energy Brazil plc, Carpathian plc and a number of other private property companies; Anne Elizabeth Couper Woods, Executive Director of IQE Limited and Director of the Association of Corporate Service Providers (ACSP) and Neel Raheja, director of Shoppers Stop, Inorbit Malls, Crossword Bookstores Ltd and Chalet Hotels. Ian Henderson is the Non-executive Chairman of the board. He is also Chairman of Dolphin Square Foundation and was formerly the CEO of Land Securities plc and Vice-President of Central & Cecil Housing Trust.
Ishaan Real Estate plc works in partnership with K Raheja Corp, the leading property developer in western and southern India, owned by the Raheja family. K Raheja Corp has been active in the Indian real estate market for several decades.
K Raheja Corp entities have a majority stake in the Indian investment vehicles developing the portfolio. Ishaan is consequently able to benefit from the Company’s knowledge and expertise within the Indian real estate market. K. Mindspace has made its dynamic presence felt in Mumbai (~ 7 million sq. ft. of development), Navi Mumbai (~4.6 million sq. ft. of existing and planned development) and Hyderabad (~11 million sq. ft. of existing and planned development) with plans to launch its landmark creation in other major Indian cities.

Inorbit, one of India’s first western-style high quality shopping malls, which provides a single destination for food, shopping and entertainment, and houses international retail names as well as local brands. Designed by international architects the first Inorbit Mall is housed in Mindspace Mumbai. It comprises a methodical mix of popular brands, food courts, multiplexes and space for promotions and events. Inorbit Malls have won 39 awards since inception including Mall of the Year 'in 2005 & 2006, ‘Best Managed Mall’ in 2007 and the ‘Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year’ at Images Shopping Centre Awards in 2010 & 2011. The second Inorbit Mall commenced operations at Vashi, Navi Mumbai in October 2008 and won ‘The Most Admired Shopping Center Opening of the Year’ award at Images Shopping Centre Awards in 2009. The other three Inorbit Malls are now operational in Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore. Inorbit is now expanding its presence to other cities across India. In 2012, Inorbit was rated the World's Most Liked Mall in the world on Facebook.

Shoppers Stop, a leading family department store, delivering a complete family experience. With presence across major cities of India, Shoppers Stop retails a range of branded and in-house labels in all its stores and has become one of the most preferred shopping destinations in India. The chain now has over 54 stores (including 2 airport stores) spread across 3.1 million sq. ft. of retailing space with a customer base over 2.7 million.
Besides other awards, Shoppers Stop has also been awarded the Superbrand status by the Superbrands Council, the only department store in India to receive such an honour. In 2009, Shoppers Stop was awarded 'The Most Admired Fashion Retail Destination of the Year' and 'Retailer of the Year - Fashion and Lifestyle' at Asia Retail Congress. Has also won the 'Most admired large format National fashion retailer' at Images Fashion Forum in 2010, - 'India's Most Respected Company' in Retail Sector by Business World 2011, and 'The Most Admired Retail Group' by IRF 2012 amongst others.

The first Hypercity store of around 125,000 sq. ft. was launched in 2006 at Mindspace Mumbai. Currently, 12 Hypercity stores are operational across 9 cities of India.

Hospitality, K Raheja Corp has built and owns number of luxury hotels including the JW Marriott, in Juhu, Mumbai (Co-ownership), Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre, Four Points in Vashi, Navi Mumbai and Westin in Hyderabad. Most of these hotels are operated by International operators. The Group also owns and operates ‘The Resort’ at Madh Island, Mumbai.
